Valley Head Senior Mackenzie "Kenzie" Willingham has been accepted to Jacksonville State University (JSU) is a regional public coeducational university located in Jacksonville, Alabama, USA. Founded in 1883, Jacksonville State offers programs of study in five academic units leading to Bachelor's,Master's, Education Specialist, and Doctorate in addition to continuing and distance education programs. Kenzie is a senior at Valley Head High School who enjoys not only academic success, but also plays on varsity Basketball and Softball teams. Kenzie's future plans are to attend Jacksonville State University, where she has qualified for a Gamecock Scholars Scholarship valued at $10,800. While attending JSU, Kenzie plans to major in Nursing, and later work towards here career as a Flight Nurse.
As a student at Valley Head High School, Kenzie has been a member of both Junior and Senior Beta clubs, Scholar's Bowl team, and Class President for 3 years. She was also a TGIF Team Leader for 2 years, and the winner of the Sand Mountain Electric Cooperative Youth Tour, where she visited both Montgomery, AL and Washington D.C. Kenzie has also had success athletically. As a Varsity Basketball player she has been named All Area, All County, and All County Tournament Team twice. In Softball she has been named both All Area, and All County.
